Church Ministry Strategy

Pastors On Target Events
Through the National Coalition Of Men's Ministries we have established some meaningful relationships with major denominational leaders throughout the US and Canada. In addition, we are also working closely with many para-church organizations, including Promise Keepers, to advance the Pastors On Target (POT) seminar. (See Appendix A for an in-depth outline of the POT Seminar)

Our intention is to aggressively market these events throughout the country in order to attract the greatest number of pastors and leaders possible. We will also be developing an elaborate follow up strategy to stay connected to these leaders and continue to offer them valuable resources along the way. We want to become to them what we expect them to become to their flock.

We will also be developing high quality volunteer faculty to conduct these events as the demand increases. Currently there are two presenters trained. In addition, we expect to hire at least one full-time staff person to work exclusively in this area.

Church Leadership Consultations
One of the most effective services we provide continues to be our on-site advance visits to host churches. Typically one of these trips has us arriving on a Friday and departing on a Sunday evening. On Friday we usually meet with the senior pastor and core leaders. A condensed version of the pastor's seminar is offered, followed by an in depth discussion and some practical planning.

On Saturday morning we usually meet with the second tier of leaders and spend some time casting vision and ministering to them. Finally, on Sunday we are often invited to speak to the entire congregation. Thus, by the time of our departure we have achieved a well-rounded exposure to the church as a whole. Our subsequent events have proven to be well attended when this strategy is employed.

Our objective is to begin to focus on these advance church visits as stand alone consultations rather than just preparatory events. The idea here is to spend quality time with the senior pastor and core leaders communicating principles from the Pastors On Target seminar. This opportunity offers a unique advantage to focus in on one church and one leadership team.

In an effort to sustain the momentum, we will also have an elaborate follow up plan in order to maintain relationship along the way. We want to guide these leaders through the entire process. We desire our role to be one of enabler/encourager, rather than just teacher.

Electronic Ministry Model
One of the most exciting areas of ministry development is the Internet. We are currently working on a new ministry tool called TargetPoint. TargetPoint is a daily teaching/devotional ministry geared toward helping people stay on track. It allows for anyone who wants ministry in a broad array of categories to get it. Most importantly, they get it from the author they choose and for as long as they like.

In electronic media this is called permission marketing. Men, women, couples or pastors can anonymously give us permission to minister to them at their unique point of need. The enemy is using the Internet to do this in an ever-broadening array of unhealthy areas-it's time for us to take advantage of this technology for the purpose of ministry.

We envision anyone, but especially pastors who often have no one to talk to, to use this resource as a tool for process driven growth. Imagine a pastor or group of pastors who can now receive electronic follow up to our events. This follow-up can be tailored by the user to fit their specific need.

This is also a critical element if we are to have some objective way of measuring our success. It will afford us contact with our correspondent in unique and special ways.
