Winter has hit the Rockies! This past week we experienced our first snow, covering all of our beautiful fall foliage with a crisp blanket of white. So refreshing and tranquil! I pray that you are enjoying the change of scenery at your home, and our approach into the holiday season. 

I am so thrilled to share with you the events of this past October. It was a spectacular month of outreach! My first journey was a return trip to Boulder Valley Christian Church for a men’s retreat. The event took place in the gorgeous resort area of Estes Park. Of the eighty men that attended that weekend, ten came to a saving knowledge of our Lord. It was an awesome time of community and fellowship!

Next on my agenda was a second “Men On Target” retreat to take place in the mountains of southern California, in the Forrest Home area. I was invited to conduct this event by In His Presence Church located in Studio City, CA. My theme for this event was titled, “Embracing Your Call.” Seventy men attended our weekend, and of those, another six were saved. Glory be to God!

Before returning home, I was asked to speak at the Sunday morning church services for Southern California Dream Center in Pamona, CA. I shared my testimony with a congregation of five hundred, and twelve men and women made a first time decision for Christ. We are currently exploring the possibility of returning to the Dream Center this Spring for a “Couples On Target” event. God is definitely on the move there, and we would love nothing more than to be a part of His continued work in and through the lives of these loved ones.

My final trip was a return to California to conduct a third “Men On Target” retreat at Camp Cedar Crest. The invitation was extended to us by Water of Life Community Church in Fontana, CA. The surrounding was especially meaningful to me, as I remembered being baptized at Camp Cedar Crest many years ago. The retreat was extremely well attended, with one hundred and eighty men joining in. Twenty five of these exuberant attendees accepted Christ as their personal Lord and Savior!

Water of Life has extended an invitation for Cindy and I to return to Fontana this coming February for a “Couples On Target” event. We are looking forward to joining this precious congregation for another awesome weekend in Christ!

As you have read, this past month was an incredible experience both for me, and for the thousands of men and women that were ministered to through church services and events. As our partner, I pray that you are just as delighted with what God is doing in and through On Target Ministries! 

In looking ahead, I want to share an urgent need and a call to prayer. As with most ministries across the United States, we are still recovering from the aftermath of last September’s devastation. As a result, bookings for this Fall and Winter have been unusually light. Our prayer is that God will increase our harvest, and fill our schedule to overflowing. We want to follow the desire that He has instilled in us to go out and teach His word...and bring life to His people! 

This month, I would like to make a special note of asking you to participate in three things: 

1) Would you please partner with us in praying for an increase in ministry activity and opportunity for this coming year? 

2) Would you please consider a special gift to lift up and support On Target Ministries during this critical season of need?

3) Finally, will you pray for the NCMM (National Coalition of Men’s Ministries) conference which I will be emceeing this month? At this event, we will be launching the “On Target Institute,” two years in the making. This is a one-year character building curriculum for men. I am convinced that this may be the most significant tool that God has encouraged us to develop since the inception of this ministry. (Info. on “On Target Institute” may be found at www.otm.org.)
