I would like to begin this month's letter a little differently than normal. As a prayer/financial partner in this ministry, I want to offer you our sincere thanks. These past few months, God has blessed us in ways that we have never before witnessed. You, my dear friend, are so appreciated for your loyalty and faithfulness! With your support, the Lord has enabled us to move into un-chartered territory with the addition of new resources and marketing materials. OTM is launching some awesome tools and we are so excited!
Now that you know how truly loved you are, let's dig into what the Lord has been doing in and through On Target Ministries this past month. My first engagement was at Sunnyside Church here in Colorado Springs. It was a tremendous time of ministry and fellowship. I delivered my testimony and laid the ground work for an upcoming men's event that we will be conducting there later in the year. Over thirty men and women came to a saving knowledge of our Lord by the end of our time together. Praise Jesus!
The following weekend, Cindy and I were asked to conduct a Valentines Day couple's event at the Lake of the Ozarks. Over five hundred men and women participated and another thirty to forty were saved. It proved to be our largest couple's event yet! Cindy and I were so blessed by the experience and felt the Lord's presence with this group in an unprecedented way. It was a truly precious time.
One week later, Cindy and I headed out again, this time to Minneapolis, Minnesota. We were invited to deliver the "Couples on Target" seminar for the Minnesota Assemblies of God District. It turned out to be another power packed time, in which I can joyfully report another three people came to a saving knowledge of our Father. Glory to God!
OTM board member, Ron Roberts coordinated our gathering in Minneapolis. Ron was the founder of Honor Bound, an international men's ministry for the AG denomination. Ron is a dear friend, and a loyal supporter of our outreach. His commitment to us is a blessing of grand proportion!
I will be returning to Minnesota in a few weeks. At that time I will lead the weekend services at Bloomington Assembly of God and serve as one of the key note speakers at the annual AG Men's Advance. Over thirteen hundred men, pastors and leaders are expected to attend. What a tremendous honor!
My final journey in February was to Valencia, California. While there, I conducted the "Men on Target" seminar for my friend and co-laborer, Roy Comstock. Roy brought together several churches from the area for this city-wide event. We were delighted to see another three men join the Kingdom that weekend!
The following Sunday I drove out to Canyon Country, CA where I was asked to speak at Pastor Jack Duitsman's church. Jack is one of the men I consider to be most responsible for my spiritual development. I am forever thankful for his Godly influence in my life. Jack's church has also been faithful in supporting our outreach from the time of its conception. I am deeply humbled by his loyalty and incredible friendship!
Before closing, I would like to share a little bit about what lies ahead for OTM. Allow me to begin with my current relationship with the National Coalition of Men's Ministries (NCMM). Several months ago, I formulated an idea that seems to be gaining some traction. I suggested that all of the major denominations and ministries join together to declare the year 2005 as the year of the "Return to Biblical Manhood". Momentum is building as this notion continues to receive a generous level of support. I strongly believe that this could be a landmark campaign, and pray that the Lord will guide it to fruition!
In addition to coordinating the above, I have also been asked to help orchestrate the NCMM's spring leader's conference that will be taking place in Washington, DC the week after Easter. During this time, the Secretary of Commerce, Don Evans has been invited to speak to us at a special luncheon at the National Press Club. Don is considered to be President Bush's closest spiritual advisor. We feel privileged to have this opportunity to share with him and are hopeful that he will resonate with what we are doing in the men's movement.
I am currently working with our Executive Committee and some influential members of congress to draft a declaration for men to sign in 2005. We will also be creating a presidential proclamation that we can present to President Bush for his potential endorsement. Wouldn't it be awesome to have the leader of our nation join us in encouraging men to "Return to Biblical Manhood" in 2005?
Please pray for these critical initiatives, as we believe the impact could be significant across the country. Our culture is definitely under attack-but who knows-with movies like "The Passion" and a little creative thinking-there still exists many opportunities to advance God's Kingdom in new and fresh ways. Hallelujah…hope abounds!
In conclusion, I would like to request that you take a moment to read this month's TargetPoint. It is especially meaningful to me, as this reading popped up on my birthday. It is the exact message that God spoke to me over ten years ago when I felt Him leading me to start OTM. I hope it blesses you as well! May the joy of our precious Lord and Savior fill your heart and home this coming month, and may He continue to meet your every need.
You are loved!

Feed
My sheep
—John 21:17
This
is love in the making. The love of God is not created—it is His nature. When
we receive the life of Christ through the Holy Spirit, He unites us with God so
that His love is demonstrated in us. The goal of the indwelling Holy Spirit is
not just to unite us with God, but to do it in such a way that we will be one
with the Father in exactly the same way Jesus was. And what kind of oneness did
Jesus Christ have with the Father? He had such a oneness with the Father that He
was obedient when His Father sent Him down here to be poured out for us. And He
says to us, "As the Father has sent Me, I also send you" (
John 20:21 ).
Peter
now realizes that he does love Him, due to the revelation that came with the
Lord's piercing question. The Lord's next point is—"Pour yourself out.
Don't testify about how much you love Me and don't talk about the wonderful
revelation you have had, just 'Feed My sheep.' " Jesus has some
extraordinarily peculiar sheep: some that are unkempt and dirty, some that are
awkward or pushy, and some that have gone astray! But it is impossible to
exhaust God's love, and it is impossible to exhaust my love if it flows from the
Spirit of God within me. The love of God pays no attention to my prejudices
caused by my natural individuality. If I love my Lord, I have no business being
guided by natural emotions—I have to feed His sheep. We will not be delivered
or released from His commission to us. Beware of counterfeiting the love of God
by following your own natural human emotions, sympathies, or understandings.
That will only serve to revile and abuse the true love of God.
